HYDERABAD: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram demanded the government come up with a dedicated policy for the development of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in the state.

“The existing industrial policy is common for both MSMEs and largescale industries. As MSMEs have its own challenges and issues, the government should devise a dedicated policy to address the problems of MSMEs and aid for their development in Telangana,” Kodandaram said while speaking at the conference held by All India Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises (AIFSME) on problems being faced by MSMEs in the state here on Saturday.

Kodandaram added that the government is rolling out a red carpet for MNCs and big corporates, while neglecting MSMEs which are run by local entrepreneurs.

“If MSMEs get defunct not only will it  affect the state’s exchequer, but also lead to more unemployment,” he stressed.
