Gangster Nayeem case: SIT reportedly questions Telangana Legislative Council​'s deputy chairman

HYDERABAD: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials, who are investigating slain gangster Mohammed Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem’s illegal activities have reportedly gathered information regarding Telangana State Legislative Council deputy chairman Nethi Vidyasagar’s alleged links with the gangster. Though there were reports that Nethi was questioned by SIT, sources close to MLC denied any such questioning.

It is alleged that the deputy chairman was grilled by a team of SIT led by a senior IPS officer for more then three hours. Sources claimed that the SIT collected registration papers, documents pertaining to open plots and land located in Bhongir and allegedly shot a number questions to the deputy chairman.

They reportedly tried to establish Vidyasagar’s links with Nayeem and his illegal activities of land dealing.

Efforts to contact Vidyasagar did not materialise but the deputy chairman’s personal staff answered his phone and told Express that the deputy chairman was touring Bhongir addressing people’s issues.
