HYDERABAD: The principal Opposition party Congress staged a walkout from the Telangana Assembly on Monday protesting the state government’s refusal to their demand for an immediate discussion on the issue of fee reimbursement to students. Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy, who led the walkout, insisted that an immediate discussion be taken up on the issue as it was important.
Soon after the House met and Deputy Speaker M Padma Devender Reddy took up the question hour as per the agenda, Jana Reddy pointed out that his party has given notice of an adjournment motion regarding clearing of fee reimbursement. The deputy Speaker did not agree to the demand and pointed out that only after completion of question hour would she take a decision in the matter.
