KAMAREDDY: A circle inspector rank officer was in the dock after he was caught driving under influence. The police personnel created a ruckus after he was caught by a sub-inspector of police rank officer. The incident took place on Thursday night and by Friday evening, the CI was transferred to VR. The official involved in the offence is Darpally CI D Krishna. Late on Thursday night, he was driving his car towards Hyderabad. He was stopped by the Sadasivanagar police during a drunken driving check on NH 44.
Even after the CI tested positive for drunken driving, he allegedly created a ruckus and tried to leave the place. However, a case of drunken driving was registered by Sadasivnagar SI, Kamareddy SP N Swetha said. Kamareddy police submitted a report to Nizamabad commissioner of police over the case registered against the officer. Krishna was later transferred to VR by the Nizamabad police authorities.
