Hyderabad: Making it clear that the courts would not interfere in the decisions of the governments regarding merger or division of villages and colonies in gram panchayats, a division of the High Court on Tuesday suggested to the petitioners to approach the authorities concerned if they had any objections on such matters. Dealing with a PIL filed by K Pullaiah and others seeking inclusion of their colony Prakash Nagar in Ramagovindapuram gram panchayat in Sathupalli mandal in Khammam district, the bench, comprising acting chief justice Ramesh Ranganathan and justice J Uma Devi, directed the district collector to dispose of the petitioners’ representation in three weeks and inform the decision to the petitioners.
