HYDERABAD: The valedictory function of the 49th Higher Air Command Course (HACC), a flagship programme of the College of Air Warfare (CAW), was held in Secunderabad on Wednesday.
The course, which commenced on June 23, 2025, saw participation from officers of the rank of Group Captain and equivalent from the Army, Navy and Air Force. It is designed to prepare officers for senior command and staff roles by enhancing their understanding of operational and strategic use of aerospace power, integrated operations and broader elements of national power.
Air Marshal Manish Khanna, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command, Indian Air Force, attended the ceremony as the Reviewing Officer. In his address, he stressed the importance of jointmanship and integration among the three services and commended the participants for successfully completing the course. He also lauded CAW for delivering high-quality military education.
Awards were presented to outstanding officers, with the Air Chief Marshal LM Katre Trophy for Best Overall Performance going to Group Captain Danpreet Paul Singh Bali. The Commandant’s Trophy for Excellence in Academics and the Air Marshal KB Singh Trophy for Best Individual Research Paper were both awarded to Colonel S Pradeep.
