Major fire breaks out at Hazelo Pharma in Telangana; two dead, eight injured

NALGONDA: A massive fire broke out at Hazelo Pharma industry located in Dothigudem, Bhoodan Pochampally mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district late Friday midnight. The blaze erupted suddenly after a chemical reactor exploded inside the plant. Two workers died, while eight others sustained severe injuries in the mishap.

Terrified by the loud explosion, residents of neighboring Dothigudem and Anthammagudem villages rushed out of their homes in panic. Upon receiving information, police and fire services personnel rushed to the scene and launched rescue operations. Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the flames under control, while police immediately shifted the injured workers to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Local residents and labor unions expressed deep outrage, noting that this is the second major accident occurring in the same unit within the span of three months. They alleged that non-compliance with basic safety standards by the management led to these recurring tragedies. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. The Bhoodan Pochampally police have registered a case and initiated a investigation.
