CHENNAI: The Election Commission of India is to hold a review meeting on Monday about the preparedness of the RK Nagar constituency for the by-election scheduled for April 12. The Chief Secretary to the government of Tamil Nadu, Home Secretary, DGP and DG (Income Tax) of the State are expected to attend the meeting to be held at the secretariat of the Commission at 3 pm and discuss issues related to the by-election. Looking to tighten security in the constituency following complaints from various political parties, the Commission on Friday ordered the transfer of two police inspectors, one Electoral Registration Officer and one Assistant Returning Officer working in the constituency.
