CHENNAI: As part of preventive measure, the city police have secured and remanded in judicial custody 24 rowdies during a night-long combing operation on Wednesday.
A senior police officer said that among the 24 rowdies arrested, 15 are history-sheeters and nine have murder cases pending against them. All arrests were effected in six police stations in the RK Nagar, ahead of the by-elections.
