Governor goes on house visit in Nellai, bats for cleanliness

TIRUNELVELI: Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday inspected residential areas and public places here and interacted with the local residents.

Purohit came to Tirunelveli to attend the 25th convocation of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University here. After the convocation function, the Governor visited the Tirunelveli Junction Bus Stand around 3 pm. On seeing  garbage littered in the area, he collected them and dropped in a garbage bin.

The Governor also visited shops in the bus stand and advised the shopkeepers to keep the place clean. He also distributed Swachh Bharat awareness pamphlets to passengers. He  asked a woman to read the contents of the pamphlet. After that, Purohit visited Perumal West Car Street near South Bazaar in Palayamkottai, and visited houses.
