CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday greeted mediapersons on the occasion of National Press Day and gave an audience to journalists at the Secretariat to listened to their demands.
In a statement greeting the journalists, he said, “Mediapersons are the eyes and ears of the Fourth Estate and I greet all journalists on the occasion of National Press Day.”
The Chief Minister met reporters after giving a financial assistance of `3.5 lakh to P Madhavan, a photojournalist working for Dinakaran daily, towards his medical expenses.
The family of Madhavan, who is suffering from cancer, thanked the Chief Minister.
