Yuvan Shankar Raja

Yuvan Shankar Raja has completed 20 years in the film industry. Busy with a slew of projects including Yaakkai, Nenjam Nenjam Marappathillai, and AAA, among others, he has explored several genres in film music from jazz to orchestral, melody, kutthu and Western classical. Thanking his producers, filmmakers, actors, the media and fans, he said he is also grateful to his dad Ilaiyaraaja for moulding his future. “It looks like I came only yesterday. The ups and downs had never deterred me. Music is my only passion, and will remain the same until last,” he added. Interestingly, this year marks his entry into film production. He’s one of the line producers of the Nayanthara starrer Kolayuthir Kaalam. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual is directed by Chakri Toleti of Billa-2 (2012) fame.
