Mithran Jawahar, whose recent outing was Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai (2016), is remaking the women-centric Malayalam thriller 100 Degree Celsius in Telugu and Tamil.
Raai Laxmi has been roped in for the character played by Shweta Menon in the original. While Menon was seen in the role of a TV host, Laxmi will play an RJ. Nikesha Patel has also been finalised to play one of the lead characters. Previously, there was a buzz that Shriya Saran and Trisha had been approached for the film but it has not been confirmed.
100 Degree Celsius revolves around the five women — a housewife, banker, IT professional, TV reporter and a college student. When CE spoke to Mithran Jawahar, he confirmed that the team had initiated talks with Shriya, but they’re yet to hear from her.
