HYDERABAD: Noted architect Hafeez contractor will prepare designs for the new Secretariat building planned by the State government. The file has been circulated and the State government is likely to take a final decision soon.


However, shifting the present departments in the Secretariat to six places in the city will start only after a month’s time.


According to official sources, Hafeez contractor will be asked to prepare the designs for new buildings. The consultancy fee is likely to be three per cent of the total cost of the buildings, sources said.
Sources said the ground water, fire services, marketing and other offices situated in nine floors of BRKR Bhavan will be shifted to Gruha Kalpa office first. Later, some renovation will be taken up to the BRKR Bhavan and then the offices will be shifted.
