HYDERABAD: The Congress Party, which has been in a combative mode ever since chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s reported predicted that all opposition parties would get less than 8 seats in the 2019 Assembly polls, stepped its offensive against the State government.

A day after holding “Rythu Garjana” at  Manukota of Mahbubabad district seeking waiver of all outstanding crop loans in the State, the party on Friday launched a “signature campaign” asking for immediate clearance of fee reimbursement dues, from a public meeting organised at Shamshabad on Friday. According to the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, during the signature campaign, which would last for a month, National Students Union of India and Youth Congress activists would collect filled in “application forms” from students of all educational institutions in the State. Reddy added that the same would be forwarded to the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Governor ESL Narasimhan, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and president Pranab Mukherjee.
