Shooting for Telugu Version of Rama Rama Re  to begin next week

Producer Rockline Venkatesh, who was so impressed with D Satya Prakash’s debut directorial Rama Rama Re, had bought the rights to make Telugu and Tamil versions of the film. The Telugu version will go on the floors soon - shooting will start from May 15.  Speaking to City Express, Venkatesh says, “The Telugu remake will be directed by Chandra Siddhartha. I had remade one of his film’s, Aa Naluguru, in Kannada earlier, which was called Sirivantha.”

He adds that the Telugu version of Rama Rama Re will have a completely different cast, with Doddanna playing the old man’s role that K Jayaram played in the Kannada version. For the film’s hero, the director will be introducing a newcomer, who was popular on the Telugu reality show, Jabardust. Joining him will be Uday Shankar and a new female face as well,says Venkatesh.

Meanwhile, Venkatesh’s debut venture in Mollywood is currently on the floors, and the next schedule will have Vishal and Hansika Motwani joining the team from June 1. The actor-producer is currently is Chennai, shooting for Bala’s forthcoming directorial, in which he plays a pivotal role.
