Ravi Teja will not be working in the Telugu remake of Bogan, directed by Lakshman, as announced earlier because he is considering starting work on another film now. “Ravi Teja’s latest outing Raja The Great was successful and now he is keen to start a film under Srinu Vaitla’s direction. Since my film is a remake, I think he has chosen Vaitla’s film over mine. I can’t say what prompted him to do this. But it has come as a shock to me as I’d spent eight months on the script,” says Lakshman.

The filmmaker further says, “The film was supposed to go on floors in October, but it was pushed to November. A few days ago Ravi Teja told me that we could begin the shoot in December. Then, out of the blue, my producer called me and said Ravi Teja has walked out of the film for reasons best known to him. I tried to reach Ravi Teja on his mobile, but he didn’t answer my call.”

When asked if the project still on without Ravi Teja, Lakshman says, “I don’t know what to say. I want to take a break for some time and will take a call after. It’s a big blow for me and I cannot describe how I’m feeling right now. But, I will definitely direct a Telugu film sooner or later.”
