Two blockbuster semifinals headline Fun Friday at Roland Garros. Express takes a look at which two players might come out on top...

Andy Murray (GBR x1) vs Stan Wawrinka (SUI x3)

The Brit is clearly the superior player, his record brings that fact out. But the Swiss, the only player in the men's side to have reached at least the quarterfinals of the last three Majors, is a different beast at the Slams. He is more sure and his big game temperament comes out to the fore. While Murray, who has looked shaky all season, has fought his way through to the last four, Stan is yet to lose a set. The mercurial Swiss, who has already tasted success in the dirt in 2015, starts favourite because of that very reason. However, the Brit is a tough nut and without nemesis Djokovic, has all the incentive.

4.15 pm IST

Head to head (all): Murray 10, Wawrinka 7

Slams: 3-2 (Murray)

Rafa Nadal (ESP x3) vs Dominic Thiem (AUT x6)

The king versus the upstart, this is one of the most anticipated matches at a Major in a long, long time. If Nadal has been flawless, Thiem hasn't been far behind. And the Austrian's evisceration of Novak Djokovic was a thrilling sight — the bagel was only the Serb's second ever in a final set in 985 career matches. But Nadal, eyeing an unprecented 10th title at Roland Garros, still holds all the aces. He is more experienced, knows the court like the back of his hand and is in the pink of health. Expect a 'I'm sure Dominic will win more titles' speech at the end of the match.

7 pm IST

Head to head (all): Nadal 4, Thiem 2

Slams: 1-0 (Nadal)
