If there’s a book that has left everybody curious and wanting to know more, it is Fifty Shades of Grey, notable for its explicitly erotic content.

It is also a book that has raised many questions like, ‘What is the electric attraction between innocent college student Anastasia Steele and handsome, enigmatic billionaire Christian Grey? Why does Christian Grey, with his Greek-god looks, keep a roomful of chains, whips and handcuffs in his apartment? Why does desire make one individual dominant and another submissive?’ As part of the Literary Theatre series, Akshara Theatre presents a dramatised book reading (with more drama than reading), based on Fifty Shades of Grey, on August 26 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at the theatre.

Those who’ll be performing are Kritika Pande, Raghav Shankar, Kinjal Dua and others.

The book has been adapted for the stage by Jalabala Vaidya and the production is directed by Gopal Sharman.

The best part is that it is open to all for free.

Only those who are over 18 years of age can attend the show.
