Chef Manish Mehrotra is one confident chef. He is a rage in the kitchen with no time to waste. His restaurant, Indian Accent, that has come up with its new menu, is all set to satiate your love for Indian food. For Mehrotra, just being at the top is not an achievement. Staying there is what he strives for.

With the new menu, he has once again set a standard so high that it will be interesting to see how others in the business fair. “The restaurant serves Indian food for the 21st century with a unique marriage of global ingredients and techniques with the flavours and traditions of India. That is our uniqueness and we work very hard to maintain our standards. I have made considerable efforts in getting Indian cuisine out of the influence of old time Punjab-centric style by giving it a makeover. I have also tried to bring back the ‘forgotten’ regional dishes into the limelight,” says Mehrotra.

Some of the new additions in the current menu include Achari Paneer Barrels, Sweet and Sour Potato Rassa, Arbi Bitterballen, Kasundi Caper Chutney, Dal Gosht Indian Accent, Green Totapuri Mango, Thai Pomelo Segments, Crispy Garlic,  Kadhai Lachha Duck Masala, Aam Ki Launji, Shredded Kolhapuri Chicken Salad, Avocado Koshimbir and more. “We have also added a new twist to some old-time favourites like Dal Gosht, Keema Kaleji and Jodhpuri Chur Chur Paratha,” says Mehrotra adding, “Fusion has deeply integrated into the Indian cuisine. It has evolved leaps and bound and has gone beyond the usual Butter Chicken and Dal Makhni. People today are looking for more of regional Indian recipes, presented in a contemporary style.”

And of course, some of the classic dishes still find place in the menu, specially Foie Gras Stuffed Galawat and Soft Shell Crab, Flame Roast Coconut and Tomato Pickle Chutney.

You can also opt for the chef’s tasting menu featuring the best of Indian Accent, priced at Rs 2,675 for non-vegetarians and Rs 2,575 for vegetarians. One can add five half glasses of wine which go well with the food for Rs 2,000.

This menu will be served throughout the season during lunch and dinner.
