Nothing attracts the ladies more than fresh fashion, be it clothes or jewellery. On Friday, designers Mandira Wirk, Rahul Popli and Poonam Bhagat held a stylishly presented preview of their Spring/Summer 2016 collection over hors-d-ouvres at their luxurious store MRP in Defence Colony—MRP is the acronym for the trio.

Mandira’s Spring/Summer look was a story woven with traditional crafts like Aari work, Shibori and Gota work to create regal and classy look. Her signature drapes, which exude sensuality, make the collection alluring.

Jewellery designer Popli came out with a pret collection of silver necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings adorned with semi-precious stones in bright colours. His more heavy look for the summer was a ‘Tribal Jadau Melange’. Both looks were stunning.

Poonam took to ‘Romance of the Mughals’ with digital-printed voiles and chanderis lined with pewter, copper and bronze. She drew inspiration from Persia and Central Asia to form voluminous and asymmetrical silhouettes complete with Chogas, robes, loose-fitted pajamas and paneled skirts paired with fitted tunics. Poonam’s summer collection is indeed romantic.
