Delhi loves Holi. Be it the netas in Lutyens’ zone or the businessmen in their huge farmhouses, the festival is played with vigour by the capital’s denizens. While the politicians played with dry colours, at the farmhouse dos, it was full-on party time with DJ belting out cliched Holi songs from Bollywood, a huge dance floor with overhead sprinklers, a dumping pool, loads to eat and some bhang to drink for the adventurous once.
Holi has a fashion code, in case you did not know. You are supposed to step-out in starched white ensembles and return in something that looks nowhere near white.
We hopped onto some fun parties where we saw the stylish set playing Holi. There was Ritu Beri and Bobby Chadda having a small Holi bash, more a family thing with friends like Monisha Bajaj and Anil Lepps. Next there was Lekha Poddar’s party that saw Nitasha Nanda, Malvika Modi Poddar, Kalyani Saha, Guneeta Sodhi having a chilled-out time. It was hard to recognise party-hearty Sanjeev Bali dressed in dhoti and all. Also spotted Gunjita Dhawan, Seema Puri, Priya Kakkar, Tanisha Mohan, Guneeta Dhingra, Vijay Arora and many more having a gala time.
