THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a bid to create awareness on wearing helmet, the students of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College took out a bike rally from Kowdiar to Shanghumugham on Sunday. The awareness rally was held as part of Medex 2017, a global medical exhibition to be held at Government Medical College from January 2 to 31.

About 100 students of the college took part in the rally. The rally passed through Museum Junction and General Hospital before concluding at Shanghumugham. The bikers stopped at the junctions and tried to sensitise two wheeler riders on wearing helmets.

The medical exhibition aims at making the public aware of the endless possibilities of modern medical science and removing the myths surrounding various treatments.
