Among the GRCs in each block, at least five in each district will function as model GRCs.

The assistance of a vigilante group - which includes the ward member, social workers and local women members - will be provided to GRCs.The GRCs will also function as centres providing information on women and children in the locality. The services of community counsellors and resource persons will also be made available at the GRCs.

Counselling will be provided for women, teenage girls and children who have been subjected to atrocities so as to enhance their self-confidence. The GRCs will also provide services such as pre-marriage counselling.
