With the farmer protest moving away from Delhi borders to the hinterlands, it would seem the government is now breathing easy, which has given it the confidence to bat on the front foot for the three new agriculture laws. But behind the brave front it is putting up, the ruling BJP at the Centre would clearly be nervous, as the anger among farmers, especially in the Jatlands of north India, may singe the party at the hustings.
