WATCH| Justice UU Lalit sworn in as 49th CJI; announces three major reforms

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit took oath as the 49th Chief Justice of India on August 27. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Former CJI Justice NV Ramana, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers were present at the ceremony. On the eve of him taking charge from outgoing CJI NV Ramana, Lalit highlighted three areas in which he intends to work during his tenure.
