Sad day for Puducherry as temple elephant "Lakshmi" bids farewell

Puducherry Manakula Vinayakar temple's famous elephant "Lakshmi" died of sudden cardiac arrest. CCTV footage shows the 32-year-old jumbo falling down suddenly during her regular morning walk. With the news of the elephant's demise spreading through social media, people across the union territory gathered to pay homage.
