Heavy rainfall-induced landslides in Uttarakhand left five people dead and three injured on the Kedarnath yatra route. The tragedy hit the hilly town as boulders fell near Munkatiya between Sonprayag and Gaurikund on September 9. The State Disaster Response Force undertook the search and rescue operation.
