Centre revoked the detention of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk with immediate effect. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) decision came after 'due consideration', citing 'constructive and meaningful dialogue' with all stakeholders as its objective. The decision came just days after the Supreme Court raised concerns over the transcript of Wangchuk's speech. Sonam's wife and educationist Gitanjali Angmo petitioned the SC to declare the arrest illegal.
