Kerala reports sixth death from Amoebic meningoencephalitis

A sixth fatality was reported from amoebic meningoencephalitis, caused by brain-eating amoeba, in Kerala. Shaji from Malappuram district died at Kozhikode Medical College on Thursday The infection is primarily caused by amoebae present in contaminated water. At present, 10 patients are undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College for the infection
