The Madras High Court granted a major relief to actor-politician Vijay and KVN Productions by ordering the release of their movie 'Jana Nayagan'. The Madras High Court directed the censor board to issue a UA 16+ certificate. Fans rejoiced in the court's decision by distributing sweets and bursting crackers. The Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) did not issue the UA certification.
