Climate Change: World’s largest tree threatened by California wildfires

Some of the world's oldest and largest trees are under threat from wildfires in California. The Paradise and Colony fires have so far consumed 4,600 hectares of forest since they were sparked by lightning a week ago. The blazes are threatening Giant Forest, a grove of around 2,000 sequoias that include 5 of the largest trees on the planet. Some trees are up to 3,000 years old.
