VIJAYAWADA: Two children and their father received injury when the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by a speeding RTC bus on Friday morning.
According to Machavaram police, the accident took place around 9 am near Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation (IGMC) stadium where the motorist Bose Babu was heading towards Patamata to drop his two children at their school.
While overtaking a four-wheeler in front of him, he was knocked down by a city bus and as a result the children fell on the road and were injured too.
With the help of traffic police, the children were taken to the Vijayawada Government General Hospital (GGH) and later referred to another private hospital for better treatment. While the condition of one child is said to be critical, doctors said another child and father were given first aid treatment.
