France to close another migrant camp after Calais: Interior Minister

From our online archive

PARIS: French Interior Minister Bruno Le Roux said on Wednesday that security forces would start dismantling another migrant camp on the north coast near the port of Dunkirk "as soon as possible" after clashes there.

The number of people staying in the Grande-Synthe camp has swelled to about 1,400-1,500 since the destruction last October of the squalid so-called "Jungle" camp along the coast near Calais.
