Three killed, 25 injured in China building collapse

BEIJING: At least 3 persons were killed and 25 others injured today when part of a residential building collapsed after a gas pipeline explosion in China's northern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local officials said.     

The accident happened at a multi-storey residential building in Tumd Right Banner of Baotou City.     

The part of the building collapsed due to natural gas pipeline explosion, the local government said in a press release.     

Four of the injured residents were in critical condition, it said, adding the cause of the accident is under investigation.
