BARCELONA: Some 750,000 people protested in Barcelona on Saturday demanding the release of jailed separatist Catalan leaders, local police said.
The march, organised by pro-independence groups, saw crowds line an avenue in the Catalan capital waving flags and chanting "freedom for political prisoners".
