WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump plans to ask Congress for $29 billion in emergency relief for Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria, officials told AFP Wednesday.

Trump is expected to request $12.77 billion in disaster relief and $16 billion in debt forgiveness, the officials confirmed.
