Magnitude 4 earthquake strikes eastern Nepal; no immediate casualties reported

The earthquake struck at 02.47 am Tuesday, with its epicentre located at Kanchenjunga of Taplejung district, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre.

KATHMANDU: An earthquake of magnitude 4 hit Taplejung district on Tuesday in Nepal. There were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage of any kind due to the quake.

The earthquake struck at 02.47 am Tuesday with its epicentre located at Kanchenjunga of Taplejung district, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre (NEMRC).

The earthquake was felt in the other districts of eastern Nepal, it is said.
