A total of 13 key locations in the city will soon get LED high-mast lights. The lights will be set up using the local area development fund of Thiruvananthapuram MLA and Minister V S Sivakumar. The locations are: Kaithamukku Junction, Uppidamoodu Bridge, the back portion of Vettucaud Church, Edapazhanji, Jagathy, West Nada of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Valiyathura Junction, All Saints Mosque Junction, Rajaji Nagar, S M Lock Poonthura, Beemapally, Vallakkadavu Junction and Madhavapuram Temple.
Administrative sanction of Rs 74.25 lakh has been accorded for the purpose, the Minister said. The Minister had earlier used his local area development fund to set up high-mast lights in Valiyathura, Kannanthura, Beempally East Gate, Muttathara G K Junction, Housing Board Junction, Thampanoor, Palayam, Connemara Market, Palayam Police Headquarters Compound and Kochuveli Junction.
