BANGALORE: Namma Kichcha Sudeep, and Ramya, who are basking in the success of their film Mussanje Maathu, are all set to leave for Germany shortly. Both of them shooting for Just Maath Maathalli.

In all likelihood, this is the first time that both are flying to a foreign country to shoot for the talkie portion of a film. Earlier, both had visited Thailand for song sequences of Ranga (SSLC) directed by Yogaraj Bhat.

If everything goes as per plans, the unit members of Just Maath Maathalli will leave for Germany soon. It is the fourth film for Sudeep for not only playing the hero but also for handling the megaphone.

He has directed My Autograph, No. 73, Shantinivasa and Veera Madhakari.

“All the three films were remakes of Tamil, Hindi and Telugu films. Just Maath Maathalli is not a re-make. I have written its script,” says Sudeep.

It was said that he is playing the role of a singer. While his character is an introvert, Ramya plays an extrovert.

“While writing the script, I thought of selecting Ramya as the heroine. I selected her purely based on the script.

There is no other reason,” says Sudeep.

Some portion of Just Maath Maathalli’s shooting was also done at Sakleshpur and its surrounding areas. Expressing confidence about success at the box office, Sudeep says, “It is a light-hearted romantic film. I am confident that Kannada cine buffs will accept it.” Kannada TV actor Rajesh plays a key role in this film.

Why did Sudeep select Rajesh for this film? “Rajesh is a talented artiste. He did justice to the role in the film,” Sudeep says.

Who decided on the title? “I was casually chatting with my friend Rohit. Our discussions led to the film’s concept. Another friend, Vinayak Joshi, gave its title as ‘Maath Maathalli’.

I just added the ‘Just’ to it,” narrates Sudeep.
