Jaguar drives Bhajarangi Loki to Telugu

A Sharadhaa

While actor Vasishta Simha defined the quintessential 'bad guy' in Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, there is another villain who is just as menacing. Lokesh aka Bhajarangi Loki, one of the youngest villains, shot to fame with Bhajarangi.

Since then Loki has played the main antagonist in a few Kannada films including Rathavaara.

His next exciting performance will be in Jaguar, in which he will act along with Jagapathi Babu and Sampath Kumar. The latter two will also be seen in the roles that have shades of grey.

Loki hopes that the bilingual Jaguar, in Kannada and Telugu, will help him make his mark in Tollywood.

While Sampath plays the main villain, Loki poses a challenge to the hero played by Nikhil Kumar. "Jaguar would be the best launchpad for me in Telugu and I want to make the most of it," he says.

Loki is also excited about his role in Raj-Vishnu, starring Sharan and Chikkanna. The film being a remake of Tamil film Rajini Murugan has Loki reprising the role played by Samuthirakani in the original.

"Today I accept and like playing the villain," says Loki.

"It lets me play characters with shades of grey. For example, Jaguar sees me as a college student who is spoilt because he comes from a rich family. In Raj Vishnu, I play a more hardened criminal who is cunning and never raises his voice. I feel lucky and scared, at the same time, playing the bad guy. With villains given equal importance in movies these days, it therefore becomes a big responsibility and a challenge," he says.

Loki completing his portions for Raj Vishnu and has another schedule for Jaguar. "I am waiting to know the audience response to these two films, before taking up another project," he says.
