One such platform that promotes talent is Art In Motion (AiM), a production company with an app and website for vendors and customers for all the things related to performing arts. They offer an integrated solution to a large section of teachers and dance companies who lack the entrepreneurial skill to market, brand build, and grow their business to a seemingly infinite audience.
Founded by Aanchal Gupta, AiM has been a pioneer in the concept of dance studios, having given many firsts, including belly dance, salsa, and flamenco. It has positioned itself as a one-stop solution for dance enthusiasts for the past 18 years. Located in Mumbai, Aanchal has about 6000 square feet of studio space dedicated to dance and performing arts to promote talent and push people's inner artists.
Having completed her MBA from Cardiff Business School, UK, Anchal pioneered the concept of a one-stop dance studio. From Sion to Khar to Andheri, she grew her studios to more than six floors and over 6000 square feet of collective space over 15 years. She has invited many notable artists to her workshops which include the iconic Debbie Allen, Emmy award-winning tap dance artist Jason Samuels Smith, world-known Kathak Guru Pandit Chitresh Das, and Prince of Percussion Taufiq Qureshi.
When asked about AiM and its vision, Gupta said, "When we look around, there are many people filled with a lot of talent and incredible skills. But what they lack is the right platform to achieve their dreams. All the activities associated with arts can be either your hobby or your passion. But turning your hobby into your profession is what excites and challenges me to bring out the best in people around me. Through this platform, I am able to provide a chance to people to discover their talent, meet new people around them and learn from the industry experts and create their own niche. In the future, I envision catering to more and more people and helping them find their best abilities."
