With 45,882 new COVID-19 infections, India's total cases has crossed the 90 lakh mark
According to the Health Ministry's Friday morning update, the total caseload in the country has risen to 90,04,366.
The death toll has mounted to 1,32,162 with 584 new deaths.
Total active cases is now at 4,43,794 after an increase of 491 in the last 24 hours while total discharged cases is 84,28,410 with 44,807 new discharges in the same time period.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday asked the AAP government by when it can complete its study, recommended by an advisory committee, on efficacy of homeopathic medicines to prevent COVID-19, saying having a timeline was imperative in view of the spurt in coronavirus cases in the national capital. A circular-cum-advisory issued by the state Directorate of Health Services last week said the second wave of the pandemic is likely in January-February, and asked officials concerned to ramp up COVID-19 testing in the state. It also asked authorities to identify potential 'super-spreaders', like grocery shop owners, people providing door-to-door services, those working in the transport field, labourers, security guards deployed in housing societies, police and home guards. In the meeting of the state cabinet, it had been decided to postpone the re-opening of colleges of the state until complete information on rise in the number of COVID-19 cases during the festive season is received: Uttarakhand Minister Madan Kaushik.
