CHENNAI: Due to extension work of railway overbridge undertaken by the Corporation of Chennai, the following alternative movement of traffic would be in force between 11 pm and 5 am from December 19 to 31: Vehicles coming from Ayanavaram intended to Perambur will go via Koonur High Road, Ottery Bridge, Cooks Road, Stephenson Road, Pulianthope High Road, Ganesapuram railway under bridge and Vyasarpadi to reach their destination, or vehicles coming from Ayanavaram intended to Perambur will take the route via Constable Road, Villivakkam Battumade Railway Gate to reach their destination.
Vehicles coming from Perambur intended to Ayanavaram will go via Perambur railway station, left Perambur High Road, Ganesapuram Bridge, Dr Ambedkar College Road, Pulianthope High Road, Stephenson Road, Cooks Road, Ottery Bridge, Konnur High Road to reach their destination, or vehicles coming from Perambur intended to Ayanavaram will take the route via Villivakkam Battumade Railway Gate, Constable Road, to reach their destination.
The pedestrian subway will also be closed during the night, a press release issued by the Chennai Traffic Police said on Friday.
