WATCH | Delhi : 27 dead after massive fire breaks out in building near mundka metro station

At least 27 people have died after a massive fire broke out in a four-storey commercial building near pillar number 545 at Mundka metro station in west Delhi. According to initial reports it is suspected that an explosion in an AC may have triggered the fire. More than 30 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

The Level-1 or YellowAlert for Covid restrictions has been imposed due to the surge in coronavirus cases.

The air quality level in Delhi plunged to near emergency levels on November 13th.The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was 471, the worst this season so far Taking the emergency situation into account Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday called an emergency meeting to tackle severe air pollution in the city. After the emergency meeting, it was decided that Schools in New Delhi will be closed for a week and construction sites for four days. The government has also decided to instruct government offices to operate from home at 100% capacity for a week.
