40-year-old woman shot at inside Saket court in Delhi, rushed to hospital

A 40-year-old woman was shot multiple times here at a local court in the national capital on Friday by a man with whom she was undergoing a legal battle in a case of cheating. According to a senior Delhi Police official, the incident of firing was reported at Saket Court in south Delhi around 10.30 am. The injured woman, identified as Radha, a resident of southwest Delhi, received three bullet injuries -- two in the abdomen and one in the hand.

Cold wave grips Delhi, dense fog lowers visibility, traffic affected

A cold wave swept through parts of Delhi, and dense fog lowered visibility to 50 metres in some areas of the city. The mercury had dropped to 3 degrees Celsius is several parts of News Delhi. Dense to very dense fog prevailed in some parts of the NCR, Haryana, Punjab, west UP and north Rajasthan. A cold wave is also declared when the minimum temperature is 10 degrees Celsius or below. Foggy conditions will persist in these areas over the next few days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Acid thrown on minor girl in Delhi, suffers burns on face

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly attacked using some acid-like substance by two motorcycle-borne men around 7.30 am today in the national capital, an official said. "She has suffered 7-8 per cent facial burns and her eyes have also been affected. She is being examined. She is admitted in the burn ICU and is stable," a doctor said.
