VISAKHAPATNAM: A picture can say thousand words and what else would be the best way to communicate to children by drawing cartoons. Children studying in municipal schools from Class VI to X enjoyed the three-hour-long cartoon workshop that was organised in public library here on Thursday. To create awareness on child rights, Visakha Forum for Child Rights and Power organised the workshop. 


Linking every cartoon to child rights, Hari Venkataramana taught the students drawing of cartoons and understand the meaning related to child rights.

For instance, a happy face, a sad face coupled with simple shapes were drawn to convey expression and a message.Visakha Child Rights Forum, encouraged the students to be aware of their rights and exercise them properly. At the end of the workshop, a contest was held and prizes were given away.
