Finally, the mystery has been solved as Faired Gixxer now has a common and authentic name. Christened as Suzuki Gixxer SF, the machine sports long front fairing inspired by Suzuki GSX-R600, mid-weight performance bike. Moreover, SF runs on the same lines of Gixxer, the naked model, which has turned the market status in Suzuki’s favor.

Suzuki after getting an overwhelming response for Gixxer planned to bring Gixxer SF and now with its launch soon, the company is about to turn tables upside down.

With the looks of a sport tourer Suzuki Gixxer SF is about to challenge Yamaha Fazer that shows a good numbers on the Yamaha’s sales list. To make it more competent, the price tag of the new Gixxer SF is expected to be around Rs. 80,000. Furthermore, the bike might rub off Fazer’s clan from Indian two-wheeler market with its highly competitive specifications, built, design and growing interest among people.

With the incorporation of 4-stroke, mono-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve, OHC engine that displaces 154.9cc, Suzuki Gixxer SF celebrates a supreme power of 14.6bhp and peak torque of 14Nm. The engine is claimed to deliver a mileage of 62kmpl and is mated to a 5-speed transmission system. The tyres running the motorcycle are 100/80-17 front and 140/60R-17 rear tubeless tyres that further sports 5-spoke black alloy wheels. The bike is equipped to telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock absorber at the rear.

Colors in which the motorcycle is going to appear in the showrooms are expected to be the same of the Suzuki Gixxer.
