BANGALORE: Sudeep, affectionately called as `Kichcha’ by his fans, is known for doing things his way.
It may not be an exaggeration to say that Sudeep is one of the few artistes who maintain cordial relations with other language artistes. He is the one and only artiste who has had the privilege to invite actors from other film imdustries like Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood for the promotion of his film.
Jagapathi Babu from Hyderabad, Simbhu from Chennai and Vivek Oberoi from Mumbai attended the audio launch of Kichcha’s latest film Just Maath Maathalli held in the city on Monday evening.
Thanking Sudeep for inviting him to Bangalore, Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi said, “Yellarigu Namaskaara. I can’t speak Kannada beyond this.
Sudeep is an amazing person and a fabulous actor who also directs films.” Recalling his connection with Bangalore, Jagapathi Babu said that he had his first date in Bangalore when he was 23 years old. Recalling his first meeting with Simbhu, he said, “I met Simbhu while travelling on a train to Ooty. He was a brat. I think he continues to be a brat’’.
Meanwhile, Simbhu expressed his gratitude to Kannada film producer Rockline Venkatesh. “It was Venkatesh Sir who came forward to produce my second film when no Tamil film producer was ready to finance the film,’’ the Kollywood actor said.
Appreciating Sudeep for winning the Filmfare award for three consecutive years, Simbhu said, “Sudeep is one of the few artistes who have no ego problems’’.
Thanking the invited actors, Sudeep said that he would never forget his meeting with Vivek Oberoi on the sets of Raktha Charithra. “I had a different opinion of Oberoi before I met. Once I met him, my opinoin completely altered. He (Oberoi) welcomed me with a hug. Though I generally like to hug young women, I will never forget the hug he gave me,’’ said the Sandalwood heartthrob with a grin.
Also present at the function was Raghu Dixit, who has composed the music for the film.
And as expected he mesmerised the evening by singing a song Munjaane Manjalli... from the film. SUDEEP, affectionately called as `Kichcha’ by his fans, is known for doing things his way.
