BANGALORE: The Institution of Engineers (India) celebrated its Platinum Jubilee on Wednesday at the Karnataka State Centre premises in Bangalore.

The institution came into being in 1934 and has seen many eminent and nation-building engineers within its ranks. Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj and his wife Prafulata Bhardwaj were present on the occasion. “Professionals never retire” as they have vast amounts of knowledge and experience which would help us time and again in our efforts to take the state and country forward, Bhardwaj said. An Honorary Fellowship was conferred to the Governor after he unveiled the plaque of the Platinum Jubilee hall.
