BANGALORE: The Corps of Military Police is celebrating its seventh reunion from October 30 to November 1 at the Corps of Military Police Centre and School in Bangalore.

To commemorate the occasion, the Army Postal Service is issuing a special postal cover.

During the reunion, various programmes have been planned, which include wreath laying ceremony, special sainik sammelan, band display, ceremonial and attestation parade, motorcycle display and a barakhana for the troops.

A large number of serving and retired officers, JCOs and jawans from all over the country will attend the reunion.

The 'Shwet Ashwa' (white stallion) is a famed motorcycle display team of the Military Police. On September 22 1995, it created a world record by putting 133 men on 11 motorcycles and traversed a distance of 350 metres and is attempting another world record during the reunion celebrations.

Motor Para Gliders from Parachute Regiment under the aegis of Army Adventure Cell will perform an aero show during the celebrations.
